Why Tuesday is Better Than Valentine's Day
The best gifts arrive when they're least expected. A case for the unremarkable occasion.

The Problem With Expectations
Valentine’s Day is beautiful. But it’s also expected.
Flowers are expected. Dinner is expected. A gift is expected. You’re doing what everyone else is doing, when everyone else is doing it.
There’s nothing wrong with meeting expectations. But there’s something extraordinary about exceeding them.
The Tuesday Evening
Imagine this: an ordinary Tuesday in February. Nothing special about it. Work. Commute. The usual.
And then something arrives. Unexpected. Unexplained. Just because.
That’s when a gesture becomes a story. Something to tell. Something to remember.
What We’ve Noticed
Our busiest days are predictable: Valentine’s Day, anniversaries, birthdays. But our most appreciated deliveries — based on the messages people send us — happen on unremarkable days.
The “just because” box. The “I was thinking about you” gesture. The random Tuesday.
How To Do This Well
- Don’t announce it. If they ask, just smile.
- Don’t attach it to anything. No “Sorry about last week” or “Thank you for…”
- Let the gesture speak for itself. Quality needs no explanation.
The Muse Edition
This is why we created The Muse. It’s not a grand gesture. It’s not excessive. It’s 6-9 strawberries in a small box.
Perfect for a Tuesday.
The best gifts don’t mark occasions. They create them.
